What does a closing Attorney do?

A closing Attorney has about 5 primary functions handled by a closing attorney during a transaction. They are listed below.

  • Title examination – The buyer and the lender will both want a clear title for the property. Without such title the deal may become more complex.
  • Title insurance – This protects the buyer and he lender in the case that there is a problem in the future found with the title. Title insurance is optional to the purchaser but is reasonably affordable and worth the expense.
