How is Paternity established?
Paternity can be established through one of two ways –
- 1. A child is born during the marriage between you and your spouse.
- 2. It is established in the court system as an Establishment of Paternity case.
Who Can Establish Paternity?
Either the Mother or the Father can establish paternity by filing a Petition to Establish Paternity. It is also good to know that anyone who believes himself to be the father may file to establish paternity.
